Prawn Thoran(dry)


I consider myself an expert in making the traditional Kerala delicacy 'Thoran' (Thoran is a dry dish usually made of a finely chopped vegetables. If your pressed for time, this is a quick and easy dish to prepare. Today I was planning to make Prawn Curry, but was kinda bored with it. Then I thought to myself..'why not prawn thoran?'.. I might as well try it out.

Well, I did ..and turned out Awesome!!

Ingredients:
-500g fresh Prawns
- 1 medium sized Onion Chopped
- 1tbsp Garlic (Chopped and Pounded)
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 10-12 curry leaves
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup grated coconut

For Marinade:
- 2 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp Ginger/garlic paste

For Garnish:
- Fresh Grated Coconut
- 2 Green Chilly (slit)
- some fried curry leaves

Method:
-Marinate the prawns with the marinade ingredients
- Heat Oil in pan
-Add Cumin seeds, Onions, pounded garlic, curry leaves and Sort well.
- Add the marinated prawns, corriander leaves, grated coconut and some lemon juice.
- Sort well every 3mins till the prawn is cooked
- Garnish with grated coconut and fried curry leaves n fried green chillies.
- Serve
